The payout table is the listing of all the winning combinations of a specific slot machine and the related prize in terms of number of coins that will be deposited in you online casino account.
The payout table is different for every slot machine, so it good for you to have some knowledge that will make you able to read and understand in a proper way, to decide if that slot machine is good for you. To become familiar with pay out tables we suggest you to start from a simple one, a three reels slot machine.
Usually on the right-hand side of the slot game you can see a table with three or more columns.
In the first column, starting from the left, there are some symbols. Since we are speaking about a three reel slot machine, you'll see rows of 3 symbols in each.
The first combination, at the top, is the one that pays more, and can include the same picture repeated on the 3 reels or some other combinations, depending on the theme of the slot.
If you keep on reading to the right you'll see some columns filled with numbers. Those numbers indicate how many credits you are entitled to receive if you hit that combination. Usually there are 3 columns one for each possible bet amount. So suppose that the max bet in this slot was 3 coins, you'll find a column for a 3 coins bet, one for a 2 coins bet and the last one for a single coin bet. Obviously the more you bet the more you can win. So from going from the right to the left, the value of the prize decreases.

This is the 3 reel fruit machine called Bar Bar Black Sheep. The top combination is two bars and a black sheep symbol (which is also the origin of the slot name). With a 1 coin bet it will pay 500 credits, with 2 coins 1000 credits and with the max bet you can get a total of 1600 credits.
If you go down, you can see all the other winning combinations and on the bottom of the table, you can spot that some special symbols can pay even when they come out alone, not matching with anything else.
But this is not all. Usually a slot machine comes with a wild symbol. This special symbol can substitute all the others symbols to create a winning combination, and when this happens it multiplies your winning. In our example the wild is again the black sheep, when you get wild symbols with another two combined icons, you prize will be multiplied X3.
Video slot payout tables are little more complicate and usually are not shown on the side of the reels. In fact if you look at your screen you'll find a “View Payout” button that opens another screen with all the winning symbols and combinations. The logic is the same but you have far more options with bonus games that allow you to win free spins, multipliers, wild symbols, scatter symbols and all the different pay lines.
